The Moving Picture

Scene 1: The Early Days – Finding My Voice

Action.
My journey began in the world of education, teaching English to bright young minds. What seemed like a simple role turned into a lesson in clear communication, patience, and the art of storytelling. Language became a tool not just for instruction, but for connection, and I realized that behind every sentence was a potential story waiting to be told.

2012:

Teaching English at a local kindergarten and at language courses taught me that storytelling and communication is everywhere—even in the smallest classroom.

Scene 2: Entering the Creative World – The Art of Advertising

Cut to:
While studying English Philology at Azerbaijani University of Languages, I unexpectedly found myself drawn into the world of advertising. My work as a copywriter was more than just crafting words—it was the beginning of my exploration into how stories sell, connect, and engage.

2015

I was invited to KOKON agency, just because they loved my publications in Facebook, so I developed my skills in creating narratives working on brands like TopKimi, R&B Café, and Ajdaha.

2016:

At Peachline Advertising, I expanded my skill set, managing content for major brands like Villeroy&Boch and Emporium, and balancing multiple creative projects.

At the age of 21 I founded 994FM, a poetry platform that brought the power of words to the forefront. This project planted another seed of love to poetry in my people's hearts, embraced a huge audience and still gains tremendous number of views, proving that storytelling exists in all forms.

2018:

I co-founded NOIZ Beach, a cultural venue that became one of the main venues of Baku’s summer scene. Music, art, and communication blended into vibrant events that drew hundreds and captivated community that went beyond the shorelines.

Building for impact:
At LIBRAFF, Azerbaijan’s largest bookstore chain, I led a Marketing&PR team. Here, my main goal was to prove that the literary business can be profitable even after pandemic. Through strategic marketing, CSR projects, and collaborations with brands like McDonald’s and WWF, I positioned LIBRAFF as more than just a bookstore—it became a cultural institution.

2021-2023:

My journey with LIBRAFF was unfolding when something significant happened — I received my first, and then a second, opportunity to become part of a film production. We filmed two wonderful projects, and it changed everything for me. Switch to the portfolio to explore the results of our work.

In 2024, I briefly took on the role of Head of Media and Communications at the Azerbaijan Tourism Board, led strategic initiatives to position the country as a premier travel destination. Built connections with global media giants like BBC, CNN, and Condé Nast, but it also reminded me of my deep-rooted passion for more intimate, hands-on projects.

That’s why I’ve loved my work with Local Foods Experience, where I lead marketing efforts for culinary adventures in Spain. Whether through marketing strategies or partnerships with local businesses, my work continues to create meaningful connections between people, places, & stories.

My role as the PR lead for the DokuBaku International Documentary Film Festival brought me into documentary filmmaking—a blend of storytelling and real-world impact.
