The Moving Picture

Scene 1: The Early Days – Finding My Voice

Action.
My journey began in the world of education, teaching English to bright young minds. What seemed like a simple role turned into a lesson in clear communication, patience, and the art of storytelling. Language became a tool not just for instruction, but for connection, and I realized that behind every sentence was a potential story waiting to be told.

2012:

Teaching English at a local kindergarten and at language courses taught me that storytelling and communication is everywhere—even in the smallest classroom.

Scene 2: Entering the Creative World – The Art of Advertising

Cut to:
While studying English Philology at Azerbaijani University of Languages, I unexpectedly found myself drawn into the world of advertising. My work as a copywriter was more than just crafting words—it was the beginning of my exploration into how stories sell, connect, and engage.

2015

I was invited to KOKON agency, just because they loved my publications in Facebook, so I developed my skills in creating narratives working on brands like TopKimi, R&B Café, and Ajdaha.

2016:

At Peachline Advertising, I expanded my skill set, managing content for major brands like Villeroy&Boch and Emporium, and balancing multiple creative projects.

At the age of 21 I founded 994FM, a poetry platform that brought the power of words to the forefront. This project planted another seed of love to poetry in my people's hearts, embraced a huge audience and still gains tremendous number of views, proving that storytelling exists in all forms.

2018:

I co-founded NOIZ Beach, a cultural venue that became one of the main venues of Baku’s summer scene. Music, art, and communication blended into vibrant events that drew hundreds and captivated community that went beyond the shorelines.

Scene 5: Leading Through Strategy – Global Brands & Big Ideas

The turning point:
From local ventures to international strategy, my journey took me to the heart of the digital world. As Regional Marketing Manager at Lalafo and later Head of Marketing and PR at Amapola Exclusive Events, I managed global campaigns and organized high-profile events like Formula 1 and the UEFA Championship, proving that storytelling scales across mediums, platforms, and industries.

2019-2022:

I broadened my creative horizons as a freelancer, working on film projects with Times Consulting and developing marketing strategies for global brands like Samsung and Tylolhot. During this time, I deepened my expertise in both film and marketing, serving as Marketing and PR lead at Debüt Film Studios. Here we created educational programs for aspiring filmmakers, I got a chance to collaborate with cinema professionals worldwide, and showcase Azerbaijani films on the global stage.

Scene 6: Corporate Comeback – Leading with Purpose

Building for impact:
At LIBRAFF, Azerbaijan’s largest bookstore chain, I led a Marketing&PR team. Here my main goal was to prove to myself and my company that the literary business can be profitable even after pandemic and books are a great way to connect communities. Through strategic marketing, CSR projects, and collaborations with brands like McDonald’s and WWF, I positioned LIBRAFF as more than just a bookstore—it became a cultural institution.

2021-2023:

My journey with LIBRAFF was unfolding when something significant happened — I received my first, and then a second, opportunity to become part of a film production. We filmed two wonderful projects, and it changed everything for me. Since then, my heart beats for filmmaking. Switch to the portfolio to explore the results of our work.

The twist:
In 2023, I brought together my love for creativity and my belief in the power of healing through art by co-organizing the Creative Psychology Symposium. This event combined poetry, movement, art, dance and wellness in a unique and immersive experience that attracted over 700 participants. It wasn’t just an event; it was a platform for self-expression, healing, and connection.

Scene 8: Savoring Stories – From Travel to Taste

Pan to:
In 2024, I briefly took on the role of Head of Media and Communications at the Azerbaijan Tourism Board, where I led strategic initiatives to position the country as a premier travel destination. It was a time of building connections with global media giants like BBC, CNN, and Conde Nast, but it also reminded me of my deep-rooted passion for more intimate, hands-on projects.

That’s why I’ve loved my work with Local Foods Experience, where I lead marketing efforts for immersive culinary adventures in Spain. Here, I help bring travelers closer to the heart of Spanish culture through food, curating experiences that blend tradition with storytelling. Whether through marketing strategies or partnerships with local businesses, my work continues to create meaningful connections between people, places, & stories.

Scene 9: Looking Ahead – Crafting New Narratives

Open to the future:
My role as the PR lead for the DokuBaku International Documentary Film Festival brought me into the world of documentary filmmaking—a perfect blend of storytelling and real-world impact. By fostering international dialogue and amplifying local voices, I’ve helped shape a platform that bridges global and Azerbaijani narratives, while highlighting the stories that need to be told.

Looking ahead, I’m committed to continuing this journey. From documentary film to brand strategy, I remain passionate about creating stories that resonate, inspire, and leave a lasting impression. Every project is a new chapter, and I can’t wait to see what stories we’ll tell together.
